Job summary

Nansen is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to build AI agents and automated workflows for marketing and digital teams across the US. You will work with a senior engineer, own the build from scope to production, and contribute to reusable patterns for future projects.

You will collaborate in client workshops, integrate with client systems, and ensure rigorous testing and documentation. This role offers a hybrid setup with travel to client sites and our Chicago office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional software development in production.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with large language models in real projects.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain technical work.
• Interested in working directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents and workflows in TypeScript and Python.
• Write tests ensuring AI output accuracy before and after launch.
• Connect agents to client APIs, content platforms and CRMs.
• Join client workshops and capture requirements firsthand.
• Document what you build so the client’s team can run it after handover.
• Share learnings and turn successful patterns into reusable assets.
