Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking an AI Workflow and Systems Design Lead (Remote) to partner with business and technology teams. You will reinvent workflows, design end-to-end systems, and specify human-in-the-loop approaches that integrate AI into operating models.

This senior IC role drives discovery, design artifacts, and reusable patterns while aligning with enterprise goals and governance. Remote role across the United States, with collaboration across divisions to translate business needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• ~10+ years of dynamic experience in systems design, service design, workflow/process transformation, design strategy, digital transformation, product/service innovation, management consulting, or product management.
• Deep expertise in systems thinking, service design, and workflow design.
• Experience leading sophisticated multi-functional engagements involving multiple business units, systems, collaborators, or technology platforms.
• Strong AI fluency, including practical knowledge of generative AI, agents, automation, retrieval, decision support, and AI-enabled workflow patterns.
• Strong business insight and ability to connect design decisions to measurable business value.
• Master's degree in Design Strategy, Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design, Business, Organizational Design, Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience redesigning workflows specifically for AI, intelligent automation, or agentic systems.
• Familiarity with design systems and design-to-code practices.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or related transformation methodologies.
• Experience coaching other designers or transformation practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI Workflow Reinvention and Systems-of-Work Design.
• Partner with business leaders to understand goals, pain points, and opportunities for reinvention.
• Lead current-state assessments and future-state design for complex workflows across teams and systems.
• Design end-to-end systems of work linking front-stage with backstage elements.
• Define human-in-the-loop approaches ensuring judgment and trust.
• Create implementation-ready design artifacts showing how work should operate.
• Surface cross-system requirements and dependencies early for architecture influence.
• Connect business intent to technology delivery across divisions.
