Job summary

Samsara is seeking an AI Security Engineer on the AppSec team to apply frontier AI models to detect vulnerabilities in cloud, software, and firmware before attackers do. You’ll help shape Samsara's AI security strategy, and work across software and hardware domains in a flexible remote-friendly environment.

You will lead offensive validation, build AI-enabled tooling, and collaborate with engineering, hardware, and leadership to elevate security across Samsara's products at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building AI/agentic workflows for security use cases.
• Experience assessing both software and hardware/firmware security.
• Experience coding with GoLang and collaborating with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate security assessments of Samsara's software, code, and firmware against AI-driven risks.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for the AppSec layer.
• Identify AI-specific and traditional vulnerabilities using AI-enabled validation.
• Develop and test AI-enabled security tooling and drive adoption across security org.
• Benchmark frontier models for security tasks and establish guardrails for adoption.
• Support vulnerability triage and assist with bug bounty program, including hardware scope.
• Partner with engineering, hardware, and leadership; present findings to executives.
