Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You will work end-to-end close to users and production code, owning verticals across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and enterprise integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept through launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud.
• Applied AI experience with large language models, retrieval, tools or similar patterns.
• Evaluation experience with automated testing and behavioral evaluation.
• Live-service ownership with telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response.
• User-centered practice collaborating with users, designers and product leaders.
• Engineering craft with clear specs, maintainable code and thoughtful trade-offs.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office availability.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user and understand real workflows with domain experts.
• Test assumptions quickly using concise specifications, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Build an evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument user journeys to relate adoption to system behavior and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with permission boundaries and data handling.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor live behavior, recover from incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability and cost.
• Share reusable patterns and evaluation assets while staying accountable for performance.
