Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced AI-enabled product engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You’ll work closely with users, domain experts, and cross-functional teams to build end-to-end solutions, from prototype to production service, prioritizing accessibility, reliability, and thoughtful trade-offs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• End-to-end delivery from concept to launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data and cloud tech.
• Applied AI experience with large language models, retrieval, tools or similar patterns.
• Evaluation experience with automated testing and behavioral evaluation.
• Live-service ownership including telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, recovery and performance improvement.
• User-centered practice involving collaboration with users, designers, and product leaders.
• Engineering craft with clear specs, maintainable code and sound trade-offs.
• This role requires up to 50% travel and hybrid office presence.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user and work with domain experts to identify workflows and AI value.
• Test assumptions quickly with concise specifications, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, outputs and tool use.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument user journeys to relate adoption and system behavior, latency, failures and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with permission boundaries, data handling, checkpoints and rollback.
• Own production quality by releasing incrementally and monitoring live behavior.
