Kin Insurance, a remote-first homeowners insurer, seeks a Pricing & Risk Analyst to grow profitably state by state. You’ll transform policy, quote, and claims data into actionable pricing and risk insights, partnering with state managers and business partners. AI tools are part of daily workflows.

This entry-level role emphasizes learning insurance metrics, pricing, segmentation, and state performance, with guidance from senior colleagues as you build expertise.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
• Foundational SQL skills and proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns, investigate questions, and explain findings.
• Hands-on experience using AI for analytical or coding tasks, with willingness to use Claude Code, Databricks Genie, and MCP-enabled workflows.
• Attention to detail and ability to question and verify AI-generated results before relying on them.
• Ability to explain findings in plain language and manage assignments with guidance.

Mansioni

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume, quote-to-bind conversion, new business, premium, retention, and loss experience; investigate drivers of changes.
• Analyze performance across geography, risk characteristics, coverage, and distribution channels to surface growth opportunities.
• Evaluate how proposed rate changes, underwriting rules, and business mix shifts could affect growth and profitability.
• Build and maintain competitive research informing state comparisons and pricing opportunities.
• Use Databricks Genie to explore data and Claude Code to write SQL queries and automate reports.
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk and partner teams; develop recommendations with experienced colleagues.
• Measure performance after pricing, underwriting, and product changes go live.
