Kin Insurance seeks an entry-level Pricing & Risk Analyst to help identify profitable growth opportunities state by state. You will transform policy, quote, and claims data into actionable pricing insights and support decision making with AI-assisted workflows.

You will learn insurance metrics, pricing, segmentation, and state performance while collaborating with state managers. This remote-friendly role offers growth and hands-on experience in a rapidly scaling insurtech.

Qualifikationen

• Foundational SQL skills and proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns, investigate questions, and explain findings.
• Hands-on experience using AI for analytical tasks and willingness to use Claude Code, Databricks Genie, and MCP-enabled workflows.

Aufgaben

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume, quote-to-bind conversion, new business, premium, retention, and loss experience.
• Analyze performance across geography, risk characteristics, coverage, and distribution channels to surface growth opportunities.
• Evaluate how proposed rate changes, underwriting rules, and shifts in business mix could affect growth and profitability.
• Build and maintain competitive research that informs state comparisons and pricing opportunities.
• Use Databricks Genie to explore data, and Claude Code to write SQL queries and scripts, automate reports.
• Bring relevant data and business context into analytical workflows through approved MCP connections.
• Validate data, calculations, and AI-generated outputs; document sources and assumptions.
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk teams, developing recommendations.
• Measure performance after pricing, underwriting, and product changes go live.
