University of Texas at Austin’s Technology Resources team seeks an AI Discovery Analyst to partner with FAS units to identify AI-enabled opportunities and improve efficiency through AI tools.

You will translate business needs into actionable AI initiatives, maintain governance, and support users in Claude Edu, ChatGPT Edu, and Microsoft Copilot, while collaborating across departments in a fully remote role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading automation projects in a corporate or university setting.
• Experience facilitating meetings or workshops with diverse stakeholders.
• Hands-on proficiency with AI productivity tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Business Unit Engagement and Opportunity Discovery: partner with FAS units to identify opportunities to improve efficiency using AI.
• Use Case Development, Evaluation, Implementation, and Governance: document problems, data needs, outcomes, and governance.
• AI Tool Proficiency and Business User Support: guide users in selecting tools and applying them in workflows.
• Documentation, Knowledge Sharing, and Referrals: record findings and share lessons across units.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: participate in Community of Practice to align with broader initiatives.
