Job summary

The Enterprise AI team at the American Red Cross is seeking an AI/ML Platform Operations Analyst to run Dataiku and Databricks environments, joining a small senior team supporting a data science group. The role is production-focused, bridging data science and infrastructure as you move projects into production.

This remote position sits in the US with an east-coast schedule; you will monitor pipelines, write runbooks, and help keep systems healthy while supporting humanitarian initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in MLOps, DataOps, data engineering, or platform operations.
• Production experience operating enterprise ML platforms such as Databricks, Dataiku, or comparable.
• Experience learning new platforms, driving migrations, and adopting tools across teams.
• Hands-on experience with AWS stack (S3, IAM, Redshift) and Python.
• History of supporting data scientists from development to production.
• Calm triage with clear incident communication and ability to debate technically.
• Strong writing style for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Move completed projects into production including packaging Python environments and monitoring.
• Own the promotion pre-flight checklist for releases and determine runbook needs.
• Triage and fix pipeline failures; coordinate with data owners on changes.
• Track incoming project demand to anticipate operational needs.
• Write runbooks and documentation for others to follow.
• Administer users, groups, code environments, and cluster policies in platform consoles.
• Support automation requirements and design reviews.
