Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems in complex, stakeholder-heavy settings.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based apps, including prompts, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design for compliance outputs.
• Ability to rapidly internalize workflows from Compliance and translate them into engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, regulatory filing workflows, and audit-ready data handling.
• Experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering or embedded technical advisory capacity in RegTech/financial services.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Compliance leadership and frontline teams to surface automation opportunities with high business leverage.
• Prototype quickly using Coinbase's AI platform and advise on build-vs-buy decisions.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap in partnership with Compliance leadership and translate regulatory workflows into engineering requirements.
• Define the build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling and evaluate internal builds, vendor purchases, or retirements.
• Ensure automated outputs are traceable, auditable, and defensible to regulators with proper gates and evidence retention.
• Drive adoption through hands-on walkthroughs and feedback loops with Compliance teams.
