Job summary

Rithum seeks an IT Automation Engineer within Business Technology to design, build, and maintain automation scripts and workflows across Windows and macOS environments. You will partner with Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Security teams to reduce manual work and improve reliability, using AI to accelerate development while ensuring security standards.

This role is remote-first with occasional travel to US offices, requires 2+ years in IT automation or related roles, and familiarity with Okta,

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT systems administration or related technical role.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms.
• Experience adapting automation scripts to resolve moderately complex issues.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity in automation contexts.
• Hands-on use of AI coding tools to build or automate solutions.
• Located in the United States Central or Mountain time zone.
• Comfortable with cross-team escalations and on-call rotations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness for occasional travel to Rithum offices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and workflows (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for IT service delivery.
• Own automated workflows across user life cycle and device provisioning using Okta, Entra ID, Intune, Jamf.
• Instrument automations with logging and alerting to track hours saved and errors reduced.
• Translate manual IT operations into reliable, documented automation solutions.
• Use AI tools to accelerate script development and draft technical documentation.
• Administer end-user and identity platforms (Active Directory, Okta, Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, Tanium).
• Support collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Teams).
• Resolve IT issues end-to-end and escalate critical incidents as needed.
• Document solutions aligned with IT and Security policies.
• Collaborate with Service Desk and Infrastructure teams to automate recurring tasks.
