Job summary

Rithum seeks an IT Automation Engineer in Central/Mountain Time with Minneapolis base and remote options. You design, build, and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for IT service delivery, provisioning, and identity management across Okta, Entra ID, Intune, and Jamf.

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT systems administration or related technical role with automation scripting.
• Experience administering or supporting enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
• Demonstrated experience adapting or troubleshooting existing automation, scripts, or workflows to resolve moderately complex technical issues.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude) to improve productivity across research, communication, analysis, documentation, automation, workflow optimization, and decision-making.
• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to build, ship, or automate a working solution with portfolio or project.
• Located in the United States Central or Mountain time zone, with working hours aligned to that time zone.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work in remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and workflows that streamline IT service delivery and systems administration tasks.
• Design and own automated workflows across user lifecycle and device provisioning using Okta, Entra ID, Intune, Jamf and API/webhook integrations.
• Instrument automations with logging and alerting to ensure auditable, measurable outcomes.
• Translate manual IT operations into reliable, documented automation solutions and adapt to evolving business needs.
• Use AI tools to accelerate script development, troubleshoot failures, and draft technical documentation.
• Administer and support Active Directory, Okta, Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, and Tanium; escalate complex integrations as needed.
• Administer and support collaboration platforms like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Teams.
• Document solutions with security and compliance alignment; share automation approaches with teammates.
• Collaborate with Service Desk and other teams to test and deploy automation workflows.
