Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an AI-forward patent prosecution leader to guide global IP strategy for its cloud-native platform. You will oversee a team that partners with Product and Engineering to identify innovations, strengthen the global IP portfolio, and modernize operations through responsible AI use.

This is a prosecution-centered role focused on protecting CrowdStrike's IP, with duties spanning strategic filings, portfolio analytics, and collaboration with outside counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership with in-house eligibility; USPTO admission.
• 15+ years of IP experience with leadership and budgeting.
• Proven ability in patent prosecution for software, SaaS, cloud, AI.
• Experience across trademark, copyright, and trade secret law.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and governance in legal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a global patent prosecution strategy aligned with product roadmap.
• Identify key innovations with Product and Engineering; decide on filings and continuations.
• Oversee trademark portfolio, clearance, renewals, and related proceedings.
• Advise on copyright ownership and protection for software and docs.
• Lead AI-enabled IP operations and govern responsible AI use in workflows.
• Manage outside counsel, budgets, and dockets; support licensing and M&A.
• Train teams and outside counsel on acceptable AI use in IP processes.
