Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, Inc. is building an AI delivery capability within its Data & AI organization. You will lead a forward-deployed engineering pod to drive production AI systems, partnering with Product, Security, Customer Service, and Operations to ship high-impact AI solutions.

You will establish reusable patterns, guardrails, and cost-aware delivery while mentoring a small elite team and reporting to senior executives. This is a ground-floor, funded initiative.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software, product, or AI delivery.
• 3+ years leading teams that shipped AI-powered production software.
• Hands-on fluency with modern agentic AI like LLM orchestration, RAG, vector search and prompt engineering.
• Proven track record partnering with delivery and implementation teams to production use cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Forward-Deployed Engineering pod: own outcomes, delivery roadmap, and team growth.
• Run the operating model: score inbound demand by value/feasibility/data-risk and enforce clean hand-offs.
• Set technical direction for production agentic systems: orchestration, RAG, human-in-the-loop, guarded tool access.
• Stand up delivery foundations: evaluation harness, guardrails, observability, reusable patterns.
• Own cost-to-serve: model selection, small-language-model migration, prompt caching, token economics.
• Partner with sponsors to convert use cases into shipped systems.
