Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Lead to establish and guide a forward-deployed AI delivery pod within the Data & AI organization.

You will oversee a team of AI engineers, set technical direction for agentic AI systems, and partner with product, security, and operations to ship AI that improves speed, quality, and cost. You will implement reusable patterns, guardrails, and observability, while delivering hands-on leadership and building a scalable internal capability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software, product, or AI delivery.
• 3+ years leading teams that shipped AI-powered production software.
• Hands-on fluency with agentic AI, LLM orchestration, and prompt engineering.
• Proven track record partnering with delivery teams to production and hand-off cleanly.
• Strong grounding in responsible AI, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Forward-Deployed Engineering pod: outline outcomes, roadmap, and team growth.
• Manage the intake→build→handoff delivery model with value/feasibility/data-risk scoring.
• Set technical direction for production agentic systems: orchestration, RAG, human-in-the-loop, IAM patterns.
• Stand up reusable delivery foundations: evaluation harness, guardrails, observability, pattern catalog.
• Own cost-to-serve: model selection, small-language-model migration, prompt caching, token economics.
• Collaborate with sponsors to translate use cases into shipped systems.
• Partner with strategic vendors as accelerants while protecting IP.
• Measure impact on speed/quality/cost/learning and report to SLT.
• Scale the capability through embedded champion networks to avoid bottlenecks.
