EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Delivery Lead to head a forward‑deployed AI engineering pod within the Data & AI Organization. You will set direction for agentic AI systems, manage intake → delivery, and foster reusable patterns and guardrails across engagements.

You will collaborate with Product, Security, Customer Service, and Operations to ship AI that improves speed, quality, and cost, while leaving behind scalable capabilities for the wider organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software, product, or AI delivery
• 3+ years leading teams that shipped AI-powered production software
• Hands-on fluency with modern agentic AI such as LLM orchestration, RAG, and human-in-the-loop design
• Proven track record partnering with delivery and implementation teams to production
• Strong grounding in responsible AI and guardrails
• Cloud-native architecture and AWS experience
• Excellent cross-functional communication between executives, stakeholders, and engineers

Responsibilities

• Lead the Forward-Deployed Engineering pod: Own the outcomes, the delivery roadmap, and the growth and performance of the team
• Run the operating model: Score inbound demand on value/feasibility/data-risk, time-box engagements, and enforce a clean hand-off
• Set technical direction for production agentic systems: Orchestration and long-running workflows, RAG / enterprise search, human-in-the-loop, guardrails
• Stand up the delivery foundations: Evaluation harness, guardrails, observability, and reusable pattern catalog
• Own cost-to-serve: Model selection, small-language-model migration, prompt caching, token economics
• Partner with named business sponsors to convert use cases into shipped systems
• Work with strategic delivery vendors as accelerants while protecting IP
• Instrument and report impact on Speed/Quality/Cost/Learning scorecard
• Scale the capability by seeding a spoke network for scalable delivery
