Job summary

Capital Insurance Group in California is seeking an Agency Development Manager to lead the agency relationships across a defined territory. You will identify strategic partners, plan for profitable growth, and support achievement of production goals in Agricultural, Commercial, and Personal Lines.

This field role requires traveling roughly 75% of the time, remote work capability within the assigned territory, and a commitment to ongoing insurance education including CPCU/IIA or similar

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Ongoing commitment to continuing education in insurance with certifications such as IIA, AFIS, CPCU, or CIC.
• A minimum of seven years of progressively challenging business-related experience in roles such as Personal/Commercial Underwriter, Territorial Manager, Agency Producer, Underwriting Specialist or other related insurance discipline.
• Ability to identify strategic partners, evaluate opportunities for growth and profit, manage constructive relationships, develop effective business plans and manage the territory for results.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the territory (75% travel) and work remotely with minimal supervision.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
