Job summary

Capital Insurance Group is seeking an Agency Development Manager to oversee relationships with agency partners across a designated California territory. This role emphasizes identifying strategic partners, growing profitable book of business, and guiding agency training and support across all lines.

The ideal candidate has seven+ years in insurance roles, strong relationship skills, and the ability to travel 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Ongoing education in insurance with certifications such as IIA, AFIS, CPCU, or CIC.
• Seven years of progressively challenging insurance-related experience in roles like Underwriter, Territorial Manager, Agency Producer, or related field.
• Ability to travel extensively within the territory (75% of time) with monthly overnight requirements.
• Willingness to work in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Identify strategic partners and opportunities for growth within the assigned territory.
• Manage agency relationships and provide training on systems and services.
• Direct support to achieve territory production goals including Agricultural, Commercial, and Personal Lines.
• Coordinate with in-company resources to price and quote all lines of business in the territory.
• Refer leads to appropriate departments or functions to close opportunities.
• Travel within the territory as required to visit agencies.
