Job summary

ISTA Personnel Solutions is seeking an After Hours Care Coordinator to support a U.S.-based home care agency. This fully remote role requires up to 28 hours per week, with shifts that may include Sundays and weekends.

You will monitor caregiver call-outs, arrange replacements, and ensure clients remain covered with prompt, professional communication. Ideal candidates will have strong English, client-facing experience, and the ability to make quick, independent decisions.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with clear, professional communication.
• Proven experience in a client-facing support, service, or coordination role.
• Strong independent judgement and critical thinking.
• Calm, decisive communicator who can direct next steps to caregivers, supervisors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the phone line and chat platform for caregiver call-outs, emergencies, and no-shows.
• Source replacement caregivers when a shift cannot be covered, prioritising proximity and coverage.
• Ensure vulnerable clients are never left without coverage and manage replacements.
• Follow up by phone on call-outs received by text and confirm caregiver schedules 1–2 hours before shifts.
• Escalate to a manager if a replacement cannot be found immediately and act on instructions.
• Notify clients of caregiver call-outs and confirm schedules ahead of each shift.
• Respond to caregiver and client queries within after-hours support scope.
• Document all interactions and update schedules in the system.
• Balance caregiver concerns with client and business needs, prioritising client care.
• Assist with administrative projects and other after-hours tasks.
