Job summary

Belcan is seeking a remote Design Quality Engineer for a full-time, direct position. Candidates with a Bachelor's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 10–15 years of related experience will review designs and verify geometry against program requirements.

The role requires strong CAD experience (CATIA v5/v6/3DX), GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and ability to coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams. A US citizen is required for this position, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
• 10-15 years of engineering design or design checking or quality assurance experience with a strong CAD focus
• Proficient user of CATIA v5/v6/3DX modeling software
• Proficient in ANSI/ASME Y14.1 design and drafting standards
• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard specifications, tools, and procedures
• Able to accurately generate and interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill with ability to accomplish assignments in either independent or in team-setting
• Proven ability to thrive in fast paced, deadline driven team settings.
• U.S. Citizen required

Responsibilities

• Review complex 3D models/2D drawings of parts, assemblies, and sub-systems for rotorcraft design
• Review engineering documentation including BOMs, trade studies, and evaluations
• Coordinate with internal teams and external customers
• Interpret engineering direction (verbal or written)
• Provide synchronization across engineering disciplines
• Work within project schedules and KPIs
