Job summary

Kaleidoscope, an Infosys Company, seeks a Quality Engineer in Baltimore, MD to lead cross‑department collaboration and serve as the SME on quality, design controls, and risk across projects.

The role requires a engineering Bachelor’s and extensive aerospace quality experience; you will develop and review control plans, PFMEA, APQP/PPAP deliverables, and support supplier and customer interfaces to ensure conformance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or related engineering field.
  • 8+ years of aerospace structures / Nacelle quality or manufacturing experience.
  • 4+ dedicated Aerospace experience
  • Hands on experience on PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) preferably aerospace structures / Nacelles
  • Develop Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documents, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables
  • Works on Root Cause, Corrective Action with some guidance using established RCCA tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, Apollo, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.).
  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control. Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
  • Create, review, and execute quality control plans, flow charts for incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and final products
  • Strong understanding of ISO9000 or AS9100, FAA Part 21 and structural conformity requirements.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD Software (Catia/3dx preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Aircraft structures / Nacelles, design guidelines, composite and metallic failure modes.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer will lead cross-department collaboration and be the Subject Matter Expert in Quality adjacent project activities in other departments. The Quality Engineer will consult on projects, offering expertise on matters related to quality, design controls, and risk

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
