Job summary

Belcan is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for remote work to design aircraft interior and secondary structure components. You will lead hands-on design, create 3D models in Siemens NX, and manage data with Teamcenter while engaging with customers.

This role requires 7+ years in interiors design, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturable solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of interiors design experience in aerospace.
• Strong understanding of interior structure design for aircraft.
• Advanced proficiency in Teamcenter (PDM, BOMs, revision control).
• Experience with GD&T per ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Design aircraft interior and secondary structure components using 2D/3D CAD.
• Create and release detailed drawings with GD&T per ASME standards.
• Support design validation through prototyping and engineering analysis.
• Collaborate with peers, management, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure designs meet applicable standards, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead end-to-end mechanical design activities including concept development, interior structure design, sheet metal component design, composite design, drawing development.
• Develop robust, manufacturable designs that meet performance, cost, and quality requirements.
