BayCare is seeking an Advanced Inpatient Coding Specialist to join our remote team. This full-time role analyzes complex inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, coordinating with Clinical Documentation and Quality teams to ensure accurate MSDRG assignments.

Required: CCS certification, 5 years acute care and 3 years inpatient coding experience; high school diploma or equivalent; remote in FL/GA/NC/SC.

Qualifications

• Must hold CCS certification and have inpatient coding experience.
• Minimum 5 years in acute care coding and 3 years inpatient coding.
• Strong collaboration with Clinical Documentation and Quality teams.

Responsabilités

• Analyze inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Collaborate with Medical Staff for complex diagnoses such as sepsis.
• Prepare physician queries and monitor billing hold reports.
• Serve as liaison to Clinical Documentation and Quality teams.
• Mentor and train junior coders and students.
