BayCare is seeking an Advanced Inpatient Coding Specialist for a full-time remote position. The ideal candidate will analyze complex inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, collaborating with Clinical Documentation and the Quality Department to ensure accurate MSDRG assignments.

CCS is required, RHIT preferred, with 5 years Acute Care and 3 years Inpatient Coding experience. The role supports our mission of outstanding patient care while offering a remote work

Qualifikationen

• CCS certification is required.
• RHIT certification preferred in addition to CCS.

• Analyzes inpatient encounters to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Collaborates with Clinical Documentation and Quality teams for accurate coding.
• Mentors Coding staff and students in correct coding practices.
