Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a 3-month contract. The role processes bi-weekly payrolls across multiple states using ADP, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will audit data, manage garnishments, support year-end activities, and collaborate with HR and Finance to provide accurate payroll services. Remote in the United States, with preference for candidates in IL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems.
• Experience processing multi-state payrolls.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payrolls using ADP for multi-state employees.
• Audit payroll data and perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and department leaders on payroll-related matters.
• Support year-end activities including W-2 processing and payroll documentation.
