Job summary

The Standard is seeking a dedicated remote employee accommodations specialist in the United States. You will guide employees through disability accommodation requests, assess needs, and develop recommendations for employer approval, coordinating with teams to ensure smooth processes and timely responses.

Applicants should have 2+ years of experience in disability accommodation, absence management, and claims reporting, with professional certification such as PHR or ADA preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or related field or equivalent work experience in HR, leave management, or benefit management.
• 2+ years of progressive experience with disability accommodation, absence management, return to work, claim administration and reporting.
• PHR, CPDM, ADA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• ADA acumen: demonstrate knowledge of the ADAAA and EEOC guidelines and explain the law to employees and employers.
• Case management: provide timely case management for ADA claims from simple to moderate complexity.
• Employee interaction: build trust with employees to develop accommodation options for return to work or staying at work.
• Employer interaction: advise employers on ADA laws, claims processes, and related inquiries.
