Job summary

The Standard is seeking a dedicated ADA accommodations specialist to serve as the primary contact for employees requesting accommodations. You will guide them through complex-to-simple processes, triage needs, and develop clear recommendations for employer approval to support return-to-work outcomes.

Strong communication, organizational skills, and a customer-service mindset are essential in this fast-paced role at The Standard.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in HR, leave management or benefits.
• 2+ years of progressive experience with disability accommodation, absence management, return to work, claim administration and reporting.
• Preferred licensure/certification: PHR, CPDM, ADA certification.

Responsibilities

• ADA Acumen: Understand ADA/ADAAA laws and EEOC guidelines; explain purpose of the ADA to employees and employers.
• Case Management: Manage ADA claims with standard processes for simple to moderate complexity.
• Employee Interaction: Build trust with employees to explore accommodation options for return to work or staying at work.
• Employer Interaction: Provide guidance to employers on ADA laws, claims processes, and related questions.
