Chess.com is a leading remote-first gaming company with a global team. We seek an experienced digital ad sales leader to own the strategy and execution of our direct ads business for web and app platforms.

You will nurture relationships with top agencies and brands, drive revenue growth, and coordinate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver market-winning solutions. This role is 100% remote with USA time zones preferred to align with business needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct digital sales experience with a track record of revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of the digital ad ecosystem for web and mobile.
• Existing relationships with leaders at agencies and brands.
• Ability to build a business from scratch with limited processes.
• Strategic and hands-on execution mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead direct ad sales strategy and execution.
• Sell Chess.com’s web and app advertising solutions (programmatic direct, sponsorships, custom packages).
• Own end-to-end sales process: marketing, prospecting, negotiations, close, execution, account management.
• Grow market awareness by expanding relationships with brands and agencies.
• Partner with Business Development to tailor custom solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Data to align ad solutions with market needs and brand guidelines.
