Nava Public Benefit Corp. is a fully remote-first consultancy focused on government services modernization.

We seek an experienced professional to lead accounting and product initiatives, driving software integrations and policy-aligned solutions across teams and government partners. You will collaborate with legal, public policy, business, and operations teams to ensure accurate accounting processes, robust integrations, and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial measurement tools and accounting principles.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with state government regulations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience running and/or shipping consumer web applications.
• Ability to generate strong product plans and build buy-in across teams and partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for trade-offs; ability to structure action plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert accounting insights and knowledge.
• Lead integration of accounting software solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams for audit logging and system monitoring.
• Guide stakeholders through complex public policy implementation and business processes.
• Define project direction, scope, and priority from initiatives to features and metrics.
• Socialize and build buy-in for product initiatives with partners and contractors.
• Prioritize roadmaps with project management to align inbound work.
