Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading a small accounting team.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Public accounting or audit experience preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-state or professional services organizations.

Responsibilities

• Records and approves accounting transactions under GAAP.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and support corrections.
• Participate in updating finance policies and procedures.
• Manage and delegate tasks to Staff Accountant.
• Assist Controller and CFO with risk mitigation.
• Assist with annual audit, tax returns, and compliance tasks.
• Document processes and drive improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of GAAP and apply complex accounting concepts.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Utilize MS Office and NetSuite in daily work.
• Open to taking on new duties and projects.
