Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join the Finance team. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage month-end close, and support GAAP reporting while mentoring a small staff in a remote-enabled environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience with NetSuite, advanced Excel, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Preferred CPA or CPA-track.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.

Responsibilities

• Records/approves accounting transactions within the guidelines of GAAP.
• Reviews balance sheet account reconciliation, identifies errors, and provides feedback for corrections.
• Reconciles and analyzes balance sheet accounts; posts adjustments and corrections as needed.
• Serves as a resource and subject matter expert to internal and external customers regarding their requests and questions.
• Posts and review journal entries as required.
• Participates in updating policies and procedures related to finance and accounting activities.
• Manage and delegate tasks to the Staff Accountant.
• Assists the Controller and CFO in identifying and mitigating organizational risk.
• Assists with the annual audit, tax returns and other compliance tasks.
• Continually documents processes and recommends improvements for all assigned duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
