Job summary

CapMetro is seeking an Accounting Manager to strengthen internal controls, enhance financial reporting accuracy, and drive process improvements. This role reports to the Controller and provides strategic financial guidance across the organization.

Responsibilities include leading the close process, overseeing GL activities, treasury, audits, and policy development while mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 24 accounting hours.
• CPA Required.
• Eight years of progressively responsible experience, including two years in management.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP/GASB compliance.
• Direct general ledger activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee treasury, cash management, and liquidity planning.
• Lead the annual financial statement audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop policies and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
