Job summary

Stardom Employment Consultants is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a Fresno-area employer. The role will oversee core accounting operations, strengthen financial controls, and deliver accurate, timely reporting to support business decisions.

You will manage month-end and year-end closes, supervise GL, AP, AR, and reconciliations; prepare budgets and variance analyses; coordinate audits; and coach accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, and audit coordination.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• CPA or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Maintain internal controls and support compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Coordinate audits and provide requested schedules and documentation.
• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
