Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking an Account Manager to drive profitable growth within the Midwest region by expanding existing customers and onboarding new OEMs. You will collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing, and Technology to tailor polymer solutions that meet market needs and internal strategies.

The role is remote with travel up to 50% across IL, MI, OH, and IN; candidates in the region are preferred. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in polymer commerce are required to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in scientific, technical or business field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a commercial role within the polymer industry.
• Cross-functional experience in thermoset polymers; travel ~50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Identify and close new business opportunities with current buying accounts.
• Find new customers and specifying customers by networking and cold calling within the territory.
• Assess customer needs to deliver best-fit polymer solutions and align with internal teams.
• Develop key account plans for designated accounts and OEMs.
• Manage monthly sales forecast and input into IBP process.
• Proficient use of Salesforce to track emails, quotes, and call reports.
