Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. The role coordinates daily admin tasks, service requests, billing, policy analysis, and renewals to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience in insurance or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active P&C license required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team about workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership as a champion of IOA values.
