Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain accounts, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin, service requests, billing, and renewals while ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ in insurance, holds an active P&C license, and demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Maintain timely activity/suspense and clear workload communication.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
