Job summary

Insurance Office Of America, Inc. seeks an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain accounts, and support new business.

You'll coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues to prevent errors or omissions. The ideal candidate will hold an active P&C license, be able to work Pacific Time hours, and operate in a hybrid/onsite model as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain open communication with the account team about workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively meet needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and promote IOA values.
