Job summary

Insurance Office of America, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensure retention, and support new business opportunities.

The role coordinates day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring accuracy in policy administration and billing. Ideal candidates will hold an active P&C license, be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours, and bring 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required.
• Knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Professional designation CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Renew client submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion of activities.
• Communicate workload status with the team.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies.
