Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new submissions. The role combines day-to-day account administration, policy renewals, billing, and service with a focus on construction, contractors, and habitational clients.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active property & casualty license, and preferred CIC designation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance.
• Active property & casualty licensing is required.
• CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms with data accuracy.
• Renewals: research, submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Provide timely communication with the account team on workload and issues.
• Deliver proactive service and seek best practices to improve performance.
• Champion IOA values with integrity and leadership.
