Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business with a focus on construction, contractors, and habitational. The role supports retention and new business while handling policy administration, renewals, billing, and claims analysis.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license (CIC preferred) and has 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance. A hybrid work setup is offered with some on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical Competence: Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Team Leadership: Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Customer Service: Handle requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Policy Management: Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Renewal Process: Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Accounts Receivable: Monitor reports and collect outstanding balances.
• System Maintenance: Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communication: Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team.
• Service Excellence: Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to requests.
• Policy Compliance: Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
