Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business development. The role supports day-to-day administration, policy servicing, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, an active P&C license (CIC or equivalent preferred), and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned book of business and support retention.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service tasks.
• Resolve complex issues with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Renewals: coordinate, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver proactive, service-driven client support.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
