Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain accounts, and support new business.

The role combines day-to-day administration, customer service, policy analysis, renewals, and coordination across teams to ensure accurate billing and timely service. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues with accuracy.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and prepare submissions.
• Negotiate coverages, present proposals, and monitor delinquent accounts for collections.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms; ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion; communicate workload status to the team.
• Deliver proactive service and seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values.
