Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. The role involves policy administration, renewals, and strong client service across construction, contractors, and habitational accounts, with a hybrid work option.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license (CIC preferred), 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring no errors or omissions.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Policy expirations and renewals management.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and take action on delinquent accounts.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and maintain activity to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
