Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain accounts, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks, resolve complex issues, and ensure policy accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P/C licensing, and strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Hybrid role with some in-office days.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor reports and action delinquent accounts, collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the team.
