Job summary

Insurance Office of America is hiring an Account Manager - Commercial Lines. The role supports day-to-day administration, client service, and renewal activities in a hybrid/remote-capable setup.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license (CIC preferred) with 3–5 years of experience in account management and strong MS Office skills. A high school diploma is required, with growth and leadership opportunities within IOA.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms for data accuracy.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek improvements to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
