Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, drive retention, support new business, and coordinate daily administrative and customer service tasks while resolving complex issues.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring data accuracy.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and present renewal submissions.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances; maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Maintain frequent communication with the account team regarding workload and issues.
• Deliver proactive service and seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values.
