Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service, resolving complex issues and ensuring accuracy.

The role emphasizes technical competence, leadership of the account team, and proactive service delivery. A P&C license is required, with CIC preferred, and a culture that values integrity and growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) license; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and take action on delinquent balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively respond to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve individual and team performance.
