Job summary

The American Marketing Association (AMA) invites applications for an Academic Communities Intern. This fully remote internship supports the Academic Communities team by delivering community-driven events, assisting volunteer leaders, and fostering a sense of home for academics.

You will help plan conferences, manage SIG pages, and support attendee inquiries while gaining exposure to event and association management. Eligible candidates are enrolled in college and based in eligible U.S. states.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or enrolled in college/university.
• Experience in customer service or volunteer management is preferred.
• Interest in event management, volunteer management, or association management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management (payments, reimbursements, invoices).
• Support planning/logistics for 2027 Winter/Summer Academic conferences.
