Job summary

The American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern for a fully remote, paid internship. You will support academic marketer communities, manage SIG pages, assist with budgets, and help plan AMA conferences in 2027. This role offers flexible scheduling across 24 hours per week and requires residency in listed U.S.

states. Ideal candidates are enrolled in college, have customer service or volunteer management experience, and possess strong Google Suite skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in event management, volunteer management, or association management.
• Experience using Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for AMA conferences and events in 2027.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the Academic Communities team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
