Job summary

The American Marketing Association (AMA) invites applications for an Academic Communities Intern. This fully remote internship supports the AMA's academic communities by delivering community-driven events and aiding volunteer leaders, helping to foster a welcoming environment for scholars and practitioners.

You will assist with SIG activities, budget management, and conference logistics while collaborating with the Academic Communities team and Customer Support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college/university.
• Experience in customer service or volunteer management.
• Interest in event, volunteer, or association management.
• Experience using Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to work remotely.
• Availability for 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for 2027 conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
